Museum of the Old First Ward
The Museum of the Old First Ward is located in the St. Lucy's Community Center - lower level - on 7th Avenue in Newark, NJ.
Contact Bob Cascella (curator)
Bob Cascella was born in 1942 to Luigi and Geraldina (Ciccone) Cascella.
He was the youngest of five sons.
He grew up at 86 Mount Prospect Avenue in the Old First Ward. Bob graduated from Franklin School, Webster Junior High School, Barringer High School and Seton Hall University.
He served in the United States Marine Corps. during the Vietnam War.
Bob was employed with the Essex County Probation Department (20 years) and the Administrative Office of the Courts of the State of New Jersey, the intensive Supervision Program (20 years).
He is a founding member and current president of the Newark First Ward Heritage and Cultural Society, lnc.
The aforementioned society is the parent organization of the Museum of the Old First Ward.
Bob is currently the Director and Curator of the Museum of the Old First Ward (tax exempt/non-profit).
Bob is a longtime parishioner of St. Lucy's Church and a member of the Guard of Honor and the men's choir.
Bob has three daughters from a previous marriage, Helena Strangio, Andrea Antonelli, and Marisa DeNova, and five grandchildren
