122nd Annual Feast of Saint Gerard
This year will be the 122nd year that the Saint Gerard's feast will be celebrated at Saint Lucy's church in Newark, NJ from October 15-17, 2021

About the Shrine of Saint Gerard in Newark:
The church here in Newark was built primarily by Italian immigrants from the area around Caposele, Italy, the town where Saint Gerard died. In 1977 the shrine here was given the designation as the National Shrine of Saint Gerard.
In the nine days leading up to his feast day (October 16th), many people pray a novena for a successful child birth or conception. The feast day itself is marked by street processions with his statue, special Masses, food vendors and entertainment.
