The Stations of the Cross.

Jesus is alive and engaged with all people oppressed and excluded, helping them to stand and live with dignity. The cross more than any symbol of sacrifice for us is both the symbol of human hatred and destructiveness and of infinite love—loving until one gives her/his own life. We, as a Christian community, are offering our body to Christ in order to make him visible. The way of the cross is a way Jesus uses to encounter people and help them. It is an example of loving right up to the end. The way we serve our brothers and sisters in our daily circumstances is the way we follow Jesus on the cross. Be not afraid to die,

the last word of God is the XV station—life that continues forever.

On Fridays of Lent at St. Lucy, we pray the Stations of the Cross at
