Dear Paul,
I
am writing to you in the hopes that
you may be able to assist me. My
name is Anne Cunningham. My husband
Michael and I have been married for
7 years and have attended the St.
Gerard feast a few times in the
hopes of being blessed with a baby.
So far, not so good. We have signed
up with and are certified to adopt
by A Loving Choice Adoption
Associates in Monmouth County, where
we live. We also have a private
adoption attorney whom we hope will
find us an infant for adoption.
Each of them told us to tell
everyone we know we are seeking to
adopt a newborn, especially our
church, high school/college family
members, etc. When I received your
email today (congratulations too for
doing great work!) I felt compelled
to write you in the hopes you may
get the word out about Michael and
I.
Will you please keep us in mind
and/or pass the word, if you hear of
a teen/college student facing an
unwanted pregnancy and may choose
adoption? We are upstanding
citizens, hardworking people, own
our home in Monmouth County, both
come from great families, and are
family oriented. We are in St.
Ann's parish in Keansburg, and our
Pastor is also passing the word.
Each of our families have asked
their respective parishes to keep us
in mind also.
Now it is dawning on me about St.
Lucy. I started to pray to her
yesterday for my niece Meaghan (13)
who is being tested for a lazy eye.
HA! Maybe there is no coincidence,
or maybe there is. I'll take all
the heavenly help I can get!
My sincerest thanks for reading my
email to you. We do not know each
other, but perhaps we've crossed
paths at St. Lucy's during the St.
Gerard feast days.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Anne Cunningham
