Our Chapel got its start in January of 1998 when two young women
of the parish petitioned Msgr. Granato to start a Chapel
at St. Lucy's. Msgr. told them he would set up a chapel
but they would have to come up with two people for every
hour of the week. Maria( 34) and Lissette(26) just smiled and went to work.
It took them
three months to put a list together with enough names to
satisfy Msgr. Granato. At that point they tossed the
ball back to him. Msgr. enlisted the help of some
parishioners to put the Chapel together.
At this point in time the Chapel has proven to be a great
success both spiritually for the parish as a whole, and
the individuals who spend time in prayer and meditation at
the Chapel.
Attendance at adoration has increased steadily and it is
not unusual to find six or seven people there at any time
of the day or night.
